Jason Page, accompanied by his dog Stella, photographs the sun rising through the approximately 8-foot-tall sculpture made of wire and wood created by artist Eric Dubnicka. Dubnicka installed the sculpture, part of his Ascension series, in Lake Superior at 12th Street beach on Thursday, the solstice and start of summer. The sculpture is a metaphor for personal and spiritual growth and healing. Bob King / rking@duluthnews.com
