Ted Angradi of Duluth caught and released this 47-inch muskie while fly-fishing on Island Lake on Wednesday evening. He was using a 9-inch Clouser minnow fly that he had tied himself. Ralph Brindle tightens a bolt Friday on a new bridge crossing the Red River along on the Superior Hiking Trail south of Duluth. The Superior Hiking Trail Association hopes to complete the bridge this weekend. The bridge is being erected on a 3.2-mile segment of the trail, between the Minnesota/Wisconsin border and Highway 23; the segment won't be officially opened until the bridge is complete. At the Wisconsin border, the trail joins the existing North Country Trail. Mike Krebs / mkrebs@duluthnews.com
