Chase Rice to play Bayfront
A college football player-turned-"Survivor" survivor-turned-country musician will play a show in mid-July at Bayfront Festival Park. Chase Rice plays at 6 p.m. July 12 at the outdoor venue. Also on the bill: Cody Johnson and Abby Anderson.
Johnson, whose second studio album "Lambs & Lions" was released in late 2017, is based in Nashville. His debut, "Ignite the Night" debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart and had two top 5 hits: "Ready Set Roll" and "Gonna Wait Tonight."
Johnson's "Cowboy Like Me" debuted in Billboard's Top 10 country albums in 2014. Anderson is a country-pop singer with Texas roots who has played alongside Peter Frampton, Lee Greenwood, Peter Cetera and more.
